So my alarm clock decided to become unplugged during the night. I woke up, saw it and literally jumped off my bed. It was painful. But it was also 8:47 and I had a class all the way up the hill on a super freaking windy day and I didn't even get breakfast. 3 straight classes in a row until 11:30. Up a hill, down a little then up even higher....altitude is killing me.
Now that I've survived today though, I can comment on yesterday! We had devotional with President Clark (pres. of the school) and I saw something amazing. I'm going to entitle this segment:
Little Beautiful Moments
Before the devotional started, I was looking around the auditorium (it looks like the conference center!) and at all the students who came. It take
s dedication. As we started the opening hymn, I noticed out of the corner of my eye, a group of deaf or hard of hearing students. One guy was in the front facing them to translate but during the whole song, the entire group was singing with their hands. It was amazing.
After returning home from a wonderful devotional, focusing on the love of Christ and the love we can share with each other, I had almost reached my dorm when I saw this in a trashcan!
I got as close as I could but scared it away too soon =( Made my day though!
You might change your post to explain that your bed is a top bunk--makes it a little more dramatic that you jumped off. Also, your classes today ended at 12:30, not 11:30. And you'd better stick some granola bars in your backpack on a permanent basis so they're there when you need them, whether you have time to pack or not!
